Half way there...

Hello all,

We pray that each of you is doing well!! Just wanted to give you a quick update with some pictures of my growing belly. :) Today we measure at 20 weeks and 5 days, and the pictures you see were taken today. We just got done this last week with doing Vacation Bible School at church; we worked with the five year old kids and they kept us busy and laughing!! We had a great and busy week filled with many memories!! Overall I (Kimmy) am feeling well; Ayden has been moving more and more. I think he has been moving all along he is just now big enough for me to feel it more often, which is different and fun too! I have been asking Min time and time again to place his hand on my stomach so that he could feel Ayden move, and time and time again he felt nothing... until last night!! We were laying in bed and Ayden was moving really strong so I placed Min's hand on my tummy and he felt Ayden move I think twice!!! It was fun to finally have him feel the baby move!! The lady that I nanny for is due in just about a month from now and I am looking forward to having two little girls to take care of in the coming months before Ayden arrives! Okay well we pray that this finds each of you doing well and that you have blessed days ahead! We love and miss you and are thankful for your lives and friendships!!!

We're having a baby.........

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were blessed to find out at our appointment on July 3rd that the Lord has given us a son!!! This is Kimmy writing for the first time in our blog. :) Before we went to our appointment I was quite anxious to finally be able to see our baby. I had began to feel the baby move around week sixteen, which has been for the last two to three weeks. I feel it most after I eat a meal or a snack, about ten minutes later the baby begins to move around and it feels as if someone is flicking me ever so gently from the inside out. I have tried to have Min feel it already but he cannot feel yet; I am sure in a few more weeks the movement will become more prominent! At our appointment the ultrasound technician was very nice and explained everything we saw on the screen. it was amazing to me that she could take a instrument and place it on my abdomen and instantly we could see the baby. At first I have to admit that the images I saw were foreign to me, but as she explained more and more we could make out his little lips and see him moving around his arm trying to get his little thumb in his mouth, taking after his mom in that. :) There was a moment that I cried as I watched the four chambers of his little heart beat; it was incredible to see and overwhelming to fathom God creating this baby inside of me!! As I laid on the table Min leaned over me, glued to the screen, in awe as well of what already has taken place in our baby's development in the last eighteen weeks! I felt as if I got to take a glimpse into God's creation as we peeked for a mere 30 minutes into my womb. God is magnificent to me and I am convinced once again that He is the Maker and Creator!! I spoke with a friend from Minnesota about an hour before our appointment and she suggested to me to drink some juice about thirty minutes before our appointment so that the baby was awake and moving around, making it easier to see the sex. So I took her advice and drank some OJ; and as the tech did the ultrasound our baby was moving like crazy, this made it easy to see his little manhood. :) You can see in the pictures above that his little legs were spread wide open, lol, we are already laughing at him!! We were very excited to find out that the baby was a boy; this is what we were hoping for and we are thankful that the Lord has given us a son!!!!! As our time ended with the tech, she explained to me that as of July 3rd I measured, baby and uterus, as nineteen weeks pregnant. This is one week ahead of what the doctors thought based on my last period. This pushes our due date to November 27th instead of December 2nd, which makes Thanksgiving this year interesting :) and gives us even more to be thankful for! Min and I have known names for a boy and a girl even before we became pregnant. So for our son we are planning to name him Ayden!! We are not sure about a middle name yet; we will be working on that in the months to come. :) We are thankful for your continued prayers for the health of our son and my health as well throughout this pregnancy! We pray that each of you is doing well and we are thankful for your lives and friendships!!!

Sixteen weeks, packing, moving....

Hey friends and family,

Hope this blog finds you all well! These past few weeks have been very busy for Kimmy and I so sorry for the lack of posts.

Kimmy is now sixteen weeks and praise the Lord her nausea has subsided and her appetite is better. It's been about two weeks since she has thrown up, while she was out checking out garage sales, but we just continue to pray that she continues to hold down food. He had a doctor's appointment on the 9th and everything went well and Kimmy has gained the weight she lost from the first trimester. During the appointment we were able to hear our baby's heartbeat again!! It's comforting for us to hear the heartbeat because it reassures us that he or she is okay. It's been absolutely amazing to hear the gift of life from the Lord. Our next appointment is on the 3rd of July and that is when we will have our first ultrasound and find out the sex of our baby!! We thank you all for you prayers and ask that you continue to pray for Kimmy and our baby. Pray that the Lord will continue to keep Kimmy and our baby healthy and our doctor appointments go well. Also please pray that Kimmy and I will continue to put our trust in Him and know that He is in control of all things.

On the fourth of June, Kimmy and I closed on our very first home!! We weren't in a rush to move but we wanted to be all moved in by the 14th so we had a good week or so to move. I was dreading the move because it's so much work to pack, move, and then unpack. We moved things slowly everyday and though it has it's pros and cons we did it!! We only have a few more boxes to unpack but for the most part we are all done. We have so much more room now I feel as though we live in a mansion! It's been a blessing for us to be able to buy a home and we're thankful that the Lord has continued to provide for us. It's been so nice to be able to live in a house instead of an apartment!! We've been here for about a week now and we really like the neighborhood and we only live about 1.5 miles away from my best friend's parents house! We are excited to raise our first child in our home and have a guest room and bonus room if anyone wants to visit us! Below are some pictures.

We hope and pray all of you are well! We miss and love yall!

13 weeks and counting...

Greetings,

I hope this blog finds you well. So I've never been interested in the whole "blogging" phenom but when I find out that we are going to have a child I felt the best way to let friends and family know how things are going, this seemed the best choice. I'm not sure how often I will update but you guys will have to help me be accountable.

If you guys don't know Kimmy and I have been blessed with a life that has been giving to us by the Lord in Kimmy's uterus. Kimmy is 13 weeks pregnant now and we didn't tell anyone until week 11. We had an appointment when Kimmy was 11 weeks pregnant to hear our baby's heart beat and praise the Lord we heard it loud and clear. The first hurdle was overcomed and we really wanted to tell everyone after we heard the heartbeat. Kimmy and I knew she was pregnant probably on the 5th week so waiting 6 weeks to tell our friends and family were kinda hard. So obviously Kimmy was "late" and she mentioned to me before that if we ever needed a pregnancy test we should get one at the dollar store because other wise they are expensive. So on this particular day she went to the Dollar Store and picked one up and sure enough it came back positive. I was kinda weary about the Dollar Store test and asked her to make an appointment with the doctor and you guessed it, positive!! We didn't plan on having kids this fast, in our minds we were thinking in 6-7 months we would start trying to build a family, but situations like this in life reminds me that it doesn't matter how much WE plan it's all in God's timing and plan. We are both very excited to be parents and we love kids so much. God has blessed me with a wife who is so good with children and I know she is going to be an awesome mother. Kimmy has been such a trooper during her first 13 weeks of pregnancy!! She has had morning sickness (side note I don't know why they call it morning sickness when it can happen anytime during the day) and had been throwing up about 3-4 times a week. She is back home in California now, I miss her : ( , and she said she has been feeling a lot better so thank the Lord for that. In about 5-6 weeks we will have our first ultrasound and will be able to know the sex of the baby. There are various tests that we can have done to our baby like testing for DS but we feel we don't need it, either way with our without we are going to love our child. It's kinda shocking to hear doctor's talk about terminating pregnancies because a child has symptoms of DS. We would greatly appreciate your guy's prayers especially for Kimmy's and our baby's health.

Other good news, after looking at about 40-50 houses and having a house we really like slip through our fingers we found the house we will raise our child in. Our closing date is on the 4th of June so please pray that all things that involve "closing a house" runs smoothly. God has blessed us so much and His timing has been amazing! The lease on our apartment ends in August and our closing day for our house is in June but we won't have to pay our first mortgage payment until August!! This will give us plenty of time to move out and not worry about having a rent payment and mortgage payment in the same month.

As more blogs come up I will have pictures of the new house and some pictures of Kimmy's belly. You can't tell she is pregnant now but in a few months we should start seeing a noticable difference.
