Dedication Sunday!!

We were blessed to be able to publicly dedicate Ayden James to the Lord this past Mother's Day, which made that day even more special for me being a mom!! We have an amazing pastor who shepard's our church and he prayed with the group of us dedicating our children before the service and I was just blessed, so blessed by his prayer and view of children! Children are a gift, truly a gift for the Lord and many times in the day in day out it is easy to miss the actuality of that statement! Ayden is a gift to us and we have been well aware of that from the moment we found out we were going to have a child, but the reminder of it is always challenging and good for a parents soul!! There are some pictures below to show the part of the service when the dedication took place; there were six boys and one little girl dedicated. It was a really neat opportunity and we are really just blessed by the church that the Lord has brought us to.

In other news our family is doing well. We are praying through the different work situations that are at hand and asking the Lord to lead us and show us which way to go... if you think of us please just pray for us and others who are struggling financially during this season, that the Lord would continue to meet our needs! He always has and we know that He will again, He is forever faithful!!

Ayden has grown out of his baby carrier as you can clearly see in the above pictures... so we have gotten a big boy carseat. :) So many things nowadays are big boy that it makes me sad he is growing so fast!!

Ayden has been crawling now for about a week; he crawls in his own special way, his legs move alot and he kind of lands on his arms and chest and then pushes up again and makes it to whatever location he chooses! He is also beginning to push up to a sitting position, which is crazy to see him learn that all by himself!! Tonight we had some really close friends stop by for just a short visit and their little boy is 14 months(Wyatt). Ayden and Wyatt played on the floor and Ayden just ate him up, in a very good way... he just loves being around other babies/kids!! He would just laugh and giggle at Wyatt and was just happy :) He is generally a very happy boy but tonight it was just a blessing to see him interact so positively with another child near his age! We are looking forward to Summer coming and the rain here ending so that we can make our way to the park and meet other friends for Ayden to play with!

Today we tried to give Ayden some pureed mangoes and he was not to keen about the taste...we are going to try again tomorrow as we have been told that multiple tries makes them at least be open to having foods that are not their favorite at first. :) I am posting some pictures of the faces he made today because they are just hilarious; he is a fun boy!!
